Translating
sensory experiences
into glass.

THE MESSAGE

To capture and transform ephemeral moments into glass, translating sensory impressions into a tangible form is to create something BEYOND GLASS, a
vessel of memory, emotion, and sensation.

BEYOND GLASS is born from a desire to understand beauty not as something fixed, systematic, or ornamental but as a lived experience that is subjective, sensory, and shaped by our unique backgrounds. Through glass we attempt to make ephemeral impressions visible: the echo of a familiar place, the impression of a big world through the eyes of a child, the sound of a mysterious nature, the warmth of a shared moment. We invite you to see beauty not only through your eyes but through your skin, your emotions, and your thoughts.

BEYOND GLASS is not just about what we see. It is about how we feel, remember, and connect. It is about reclaiming fragility as strength and recognizing that sometimes the most powerful experiences are the ones we cannot quite hold but can sense deeply.

We welcome you into this exploration of beauty, memory, and meaning. May it inspire you to look beyond the form and the obvious and to touch the world a little differently.

THE COLLECTION

FEATURED DESIGNERS

MOBILE EXHIBITION

The latest experimental collection of glass design objects weaves a collective story about the meaning and expression of beauty, rooted deeply in the authors’ experiences of Slovakia.

Presented at Designblok – Prague International Design Festival 2025, BEYOND GLASS is the fifth collection of the experimental design platform Flowers for Slovakia. The project brings together ten emerging Slovak and Czech designers who explore beauty through the five senses.

Developed in collaboration with Lasvit and the Institute of Design at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, the exhibition translates personal memories and sensory experiences into poetic glass objects. These works bridge tradition and innovation, craft and concept, creating a collective sensory story of beauty that resonates on both personal and cultural levels.
